18A Create a Customer Avatar

My customer avatar is of a college-age student with a busy lifestyle, but that still cares about personal hygiene. In this avatar picture, you can see a college-age, young man who is clean shaven, has a neat haircut, and cares about his appearance. That is definitely the prototypical consumer because the prototypical consumer needs to care about keeping up a high standard of personal hygiene throughout the entire day. This person might have a job, or simply is very involved in several positions on campus. This customer likes to fit in in terms of being socially acceptable, but also likes to stand out, smell good, and always be clean. The avatar is willing to try new things, and is generally optimistic.

I have several things in common with this consumer. To begin with, we are both college students. In addition, we both care about our personal hygiene and we both are very busy. I definitely fit into the typical group that the avatar represents.

  1. Hello Max,
It seems like the main point of your avatar (and I am assuming the remainder of your customer base) is that they are well groomed individuals who care about their appearance and take time to ensure that they look polished. Is the avatar male specific because your product is male oriented or is it made for both men and women? Is the avatar's age vital to the products success or would older individuals who have busy jobs or hectic family lives also be ideal customers? It is great that you are within the avatar's schematics, as it means there are probably people similar to you who also would use this product.

  2. Hi Max,
Your prototypical customer seems to hit your target market right on the head. A busy student who cares about their hygiene. I think someone like this would definitely look into your product and would most likely be willing to use it regularly. I think most people would also follow similar to your avatar in wanting to stay fresh on a busy schedule. great job with your avatar.
